1) Is art a hobby or a job for you?
For me personally, it's more of a passionate hobby. I really don't know if it'll lead me to work someday, but I'm not closed off to the concept! : D
2) What inspired you to first start drawing/ doing art?
Good question! I think the main inspiration for me was Disney. I grew up watching Disney films for my entire childhood, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Aladdin, Mulan, and so forth.
3) How long have you been doing art?
Well, technically speaking I've been drawing for like ten years! But more... focus driven and professionally(whatever professional really means in terms of art LOL), I suppose about five years?
4) What's your favorite thing to draw?
Honestly, I'd have to say people. I love the complex expressions of the human face, and I love how the human body moves and stuff. Mind you, I'm not particularly great at human anatomy, I do try to learn though! (:
5) How much wood can a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
The age old question. Waffle.
6) Any special talents?
I sort of hate referring to anything I can do as "Special" personally. I mean, writing, drawing, and even singing to a certain extent can all be learned if one is passionate and patient. But yeah, I guess those are my special things.
7) Favorite food/drink?
Food-wise?: Pizza. Or maybe taquitos? Mmm... Taquitos...
Drink-wise?: Coca-cola. I have a soft spot for it, it's a curse -sobs silently-
8) What's your favorite medium to use?
Digital definitely. For me personally, I find it's a much more flexible medium that allows for infinitely more experimentation. I always found traditional art(at least from my personal experience) to be a bit limiting. I often found myself backing down from project ideas, as well as new poses and such, for fear of ruining a drawing I spent a few hours on. It just became a bit mind-numbingly tedious, and perhaps a bit boring too.
9) Who are your favorite artists/ who inspires you?
For artists I'd say... Jesse van Dijk(Who works with Bungie) is absolutely incredible. There's also Sparth who is just... how even.
10) Do you create a character first and then their background story, or do you create a story and then a character to go with the story?
Oh boy... haha! I'm really wish-washy with this honestly. Sometimes I'm a total panster with this stuff. I run in with an appearance and go "Wow! He looks nifty!" and then try to build him a story, and then other times I come up with a big storyline, and have to find a design that fits. Panster is an easier way to go, honestly. Design first, story after.
Well damn! That's all the questions on this Tag!
